Kyrie Irving encestó 19 de sus 29 puntos en el tercer periodo, Nic Claxton sumó 14 tantos y 12 rebotes y los Nets de Brooklyn superaron a unos diezmados Raptors de Toronto por 112-98 el miércoles.

Toronto sólo le permitió 12 unidades a Kevin Durant, pero no evitó perder por quinta ocasión en siete enfrentamientos ante los Nets tras ganar 21 de sus anteriores 25 duelos.

Durant llegó a 26.074 puntos en su carrera en el tercer periodo para superar a Kevin Durant (26.071) en el 18mo puesto de la lista histórica de la NBA.

Royce O'Neal aportó un máximo de carrera de cinco triples y 15 puntos, y Ben Simmons contó con 14 por los Nets, que se recuperaron tras la derrota en Filadelfia el martes. Brooklyn ha ganado tres de cuatro.

Los Nets anotaron 17 de 38 intentos de tres, la mayor cantidad de triples esta temporada. Mientras que los Raptors sólo atinaron 7 de 29 desde fuera del arco, para empatar su menor cantidad de la campaña.

Gary Trent firmó 19 puntos y Chris Boucher tuvo 12 unidades y un máximo de temporada de 16 rebotes por los Raptors. O.G. Anunoby tuvo 15 tantos y Thad Young 12.

Toronto contó con sólo 10 jugadores saludables debido a que estuvieron fuera Scottie Barnes (rodilla izquierda) y Fred VanVleet (enfermedad no relacionada al COVID), así como el estelar Pascal Siakam (tensión en el abductor derecho).
