El presidente Biden continuará aislado en la residencia de la Casa Blanca, después de dar positivo a covid-19 una vez más, tras recibir un tratamiento con el antiviral Paxlovid, dijo la Casa Blanca.

En un memorando publicado por la oficina de prensa de la Casa Blanca, el médico del presidente, el doctor Kevin O'Connor, dijo que Biden “sigue sintiéndose bien” a pesar de dar positivo por el coronavirus Sars-CoV-2 por quinto día consecutivo.

O'Connor informó que examinó a Biden después de realizar un “ejercicio ligero” y reveló que el presidente “sigue experimentando tos ocasional, pero con menos frecuencia que ayer”.

“Permanece sin fiebre y de buen humor. Su temperatura, pulso, presión arterial, frecuencia respiratoria y saturación de oxígeno siguen siendo completamente normales. Sus pulmones siguen limpios”, explicó el exmédico militar, que ha tratado a Biden desde que fue vicepresidente durante la administración de Obama.

O'Connor agregó que Biden “continuará con sus estrictas medidas de aislamiento” y “seguirá dirigiendo los asuntos del pueblo estadounidense desde la Residencia Ejecutiva”.
