Cristiano Ronaldo reiteró que estaba “feliz de volver” a jugar con el Manchester United después de participar durante 45 minutos en el empate amistoso 1-1 del partido amistoso contra el Rayo Vallecano.

Ronaldo se perdió la gira de pretemporada del United por Tailandia y Australia por motivos familiares, mientras surgían informes sobre su deseo de abandonar el club, pero se presentó en el campo de entrenamiento a principios de esta semana para hablar de su futuro con el nuevo técnico Erik ten Hag.

El jugador de 37 años jugó 45 minutos contra el equipo de La Liga, su primera participación con en el United desde la horrible derrota por 4-0 en Brighton la temporada pasada, antes de ser retirado en el descanso en un movimiento previamente planificado.

Más tarde publicó en las redes sociales una foto suya jugando en el partido con el pie de foto: “¡Feliz de volver!”.

El United completó su preparación de pretemporada con un empate, ya que el gol de Amad Diallo, sustituto de Ronaldo, en el minuto 48 fue anulado por Álvaro García Rivera.

Queda por ver si el internacional portugués participará en el acto inaugural de la Premier League del United con el Brighton el próximo domingo.
