Tyler O'Neill pegó un jonrón de tres carreras para poner fin a un empate en la octava entrada y los Cardenales de San Luis superaron el domingo 6-3 a los Bravos de Atlanta.

Tommy Edman igualó el encuentro para los Cardenales con un tablazo al inicio de la octava ante A.J. Minter (5-4), quien también cedió el bambinazo con dos outs en la pizarra de O'Neill que se fue más allá del jardín central. Lars Nootbaar se voló la barda con dos outs en la sexta para el primer imparable ante el abridor de los Bravos Jake Odorizzi.

O'Neill ingresó a la defensa en el séptimo episodio y propinó el golpe decisivo en su primer turno, inmediatamente después de que Minter ponchó a Paul Goldschmidt y Nolan Arenado con dos hombres en base. La remontada de San Luis se vio impulsada por un error del tercera base Austin Riley.
