El gobierno de Francia dice que la situación del coronavirus en Francia “claramente mejoró”, por lo que el país reabrió el miércoles los espacios interiores en restaurantes y cafés, además de gimnasios y piscinas.

“No es solamente un anticipo, sino el regreso del sabor de la vida que una vez tuvimos”, afirmó el miércoles el portavoz gubernamental Gabriel Attal

El toque de queda nocturno se redujo, al pasar de las 9 pm a las 11 pm.

Los eventos deportivos y culturales están permitidos ahora con una concurrencia máxima de 5.000 personas. Los espectadores tendrán que mostrar un certificado de vacunación o de prueba negativa en las 48 horas previas. Las terrazas de restaurantes y cafés, los teatros, cines y museos reabrieron el 19 de mayo tras un cierre de seis meses por la pandemia del coronavirus.

Aproximadamente 54% de la población adulta de Francia ha recibido al menos una dosis de alguna vacuna contra el COVID-19. Francia está registrando un promedio diario de 6.500 casos, comparado con 35.000 durante el pico de marzo-abril.

El país ha reportado 110.000 muertes confirmadas por COVID-19, uno de los totales más elevados en Europa
