Sandy Alcántara extendió su racha de blanqueadas a 19 entradas y el corredor emergente Billy Hamilton anotó en un error de tiro del receptor Tomás Nido en la 10ma, dando a los Marlins de Miami una victoria de 2-0 sobre los Mets de Nueva York.

Luke Williams agregó un sencillo productor por los Marlins, que ganaron por octava ocasión en 11 juegos y dividieron la serie de cuatro juegos. Tanner Scott ponchó a Francisco Lindor con corredores en las esquinas para su 12mo salvamento.

La ventaja de Nueva York en la División Este de la Liga Nacional se redujo a 1,5 juegos sobre los campeones defensores de la Serie Mundial, los Bravos de Atlanta —su más pequeña desde el 16 de abril. Los Mets, que tenían una ventaja de 10,5 juegos el 1 de junio, comienzan una serie de tres juegos en Atlanta el lunes por la noche.

Alcántara permitió seis hits en siete entradas y redujo su efectividad a 1.73. Ponchó a cuatro y dio una base por bolas.
