Dos personas murieron y al menos otras seis resultaron heridas luego de un tiroteo afuera de una fiesta nocturna en Nueva Jersey cerca de un área popular de viviendas para estudiantes de la Universidad de Rutgers.

La policía de Rutgers y New Brunswick informó que uno o más sospechosos “dispararon varios tiros con un arma que alcanzó a varias personas que estaban presentes” en una fiesta fuera del campus alrededor de la 1.30 am del domingo.

La Oficina del Fiscal del Condado de Middlesex dijo que no parece que ningún estudiante de Rutgers estuviera involucrado.

Los marcadores de evidencia amarillos salpicaban Delafield Street, a solo minutos del campus de Rutgers, identificando docenas de casquillos de bala.

"Los heridos fueron trasladados a un hospital de la zona y se informa que las heridas son graves", según el Departamento de Policía de New Brunswick.
