Se han anunciado las nominaciones al Óscar 2021.
Debido a la pandemia, la ceremonia anual se retrasó de su fecha habitual, de finales de febrero o principios de marzo, al 25 de abril.
La pareja, Priyanka Chopra Jonas y Nick Jonas nombraron las películas en disputa durante una transmisión en vivo desde Londres.
Mank de David Fincher lidera el grupo de este año con 10 nominaciones, incluyendo Mejor Director, Mejor Actor para Gary Oldman y Mejor Actriz de Reparto para Amanda Seyfried.
Le siguen con seis asentimientos cada uno: The Father, Minari, Nomadland, Sound of Metal y The Trial of the Chicago 7.
A los 83 años, Anthony Hopkins se ha convertido en el nominado al mejor actor de mayor edad por su papel en la adaptación de la obra The Father, mientras que Steven Yeun (Minari ) es el primer actor coreano-estadounidense en ser nominado en la categoría.
