El especial de reunión de Friends ha agregado una serie de estrellas invitadas sorpresa, como Lady Gaga, James Corden y Reese Witherspoon.

HBO Max hizo el anuncio el jueves, al mismo tiempo que reveló la fecha de emisión del especial (27 de mayo) y reveló un primer video teaser.

David Beckham, Justin Bieber y BTS también aparecerán, junto a Cindy Crawford, Cara Delevingne, Kit Harington, Mindy Kaling y Malala Yousafzai.

Witherspoon anteriormente tuvo un papel recurrente en Friends como la hermana de Rachel Green, Jill. Otras estrellas invitadas planeadas también tuvieron papeles en la comedia: Elliott Gould, quien interpretó al padre de Ross y Monica, Jack Geller, aparecerá, al igual que Christina Pickles, quien interpretó a la madre de los hermanos Judy Geller.

También se incluirá a Larry Hankin, quien hizo historia en la sitcom como el gruñón vecino de arriba de Mónica, Heckles, y Thomas Lennon, quien apareció como el infame gemelo idéntico de Joey, Randall.

Tom Selleck, también conocido como el ex novio de Monica, Richard Burke, también se unirá, al igual que James Michael Tyler (barista de Central Perk Gunther) y Maggie Wheeler (la icónica Janice).

El especial de reunión de Friends se anunció originalmente en febrero de 2020, pero se ha retrasado debido a la pandemia de coronavirus. Se grabó el mes pasado en el estudio de sonido original de Friends en Burbank, California.
