La leyenda brasileña Pelé ha proclamado a Cristiano Ronaldo superior a Lionel Messi en un intento por resolver uno de los grandes debates del fútbol.

La pareja ha compartido 11 de los últimos 12 premios Balón de Oro, con el argentino ganando seis y el portugués cinco.

Pero Pelé, que ganó tres Copas del Mundo en su ilustre carrera, le da a la superestrella de la Juventus la ventaja sobre el icono del Barcelona.

"En este momento creo que Cristiano Ronaldo es el jugador más consistente que hay, pero no puedes olvidarte de Messi", dijo al canal de YouTube Pilhado .

“Esa es una pregunta difícil de responder. Me han preguntado muchas veces.

“No debemos olvidar a Zico y Ronaldinho. La gente siempre habla de jugadores europeos como [Franz] Beckenbauer y [Johan] Cruyff ".

Sin embargo, el exdelantero del Santos no dejaría el debate allí, sino que reclamaría el trono para sí mismo.

“No es mi culpa, pero creo que fui mejor que todos ellos”, agregó Pelé. 

“Solo habrá un Pelé. No habrá nadie más como yo ".
