Fernando Alonso ha sido dado de alta del hospital tras sufrir una fractura de mandíbula en un accidente a bordo de su bicicleta.

El bicampeón del mundo, de 39 años, se sometió a una cirugía luego de una colisión con un automóvil en un supermercado la semana pasada en Suiza.

Se espera que Alonso esté en forma para la carrera inaugural de su regreso a la Fórmula Uno en Bahréin el próximo mes.

Su equipo Alpine emitió un breve comunicado, diciendo: “Después de un período de observación de 48 horas en Suiza, Fernando Alonso ahora ha sido dado de alta para continuar su recuperación en casa.

"Ahora tendrá un breve período de descanso completo antes de reanudar progresivamente el entrenamiento para emprender la preparación para el inicio de la nueva temporada".

Está previsto que Alonso regrese a la parrilla de F1 esta temporada tras una ausencia de dos años.
