Danielle Desouza is a Social Media Reporter at PA Media, covering topics ranging from original uplifting stories to finding case studies to accompany news stories. In this role, Danielle has written a series of articles to mark important events including the one year anniversary of Russia invading Ukraine, where she spoke to photographers and artists, based in Ukraine, who reflected on their thoughts on that day, as well as regularly organising and writing stories to mark Black History Month in October, as the team’s content planner. These stories have been used widely by nationals in both print and online. She made a shortlist of 6 out of 100 people at the NCTJ’s Awards of Excellence in 2023, in the apprentice of the year category, after achieving a distinction. Danielle’s career at PA started in January 2021 as a news apprentice.
