Aaron Judge deshizo el empate en la pizarra con un sencillo con dos outs en el noveno inning, Giancarlo Stanton sacudió un jonrón por tercer juego consecutivo y los Yanquis de Nueva York superaron el jueves 7-6 a los Atléticos de Oakland para sumar su 12da victoria al hilo, su mejor racha en casi 60 años.

El cerrador cubano Aroldis Chapman se anotó el salvamento número 300 de su carrera, el 31er pitcher que alcanza esa marca. El nicaragüense Jonathan Loaisiga (9-4) ponchó a dos en dos episodios para reclamar la vitoria.

Joey Gallo conectó un vuelacercas de tres carreras en el tercer episodio que dio a Nueva York una renta de 6-0, pero Oakland vino desde atrás e igualó el marcador cuando Josh Harrison la sacó del parque en el quinto.

La derrota fue a la foja de Lou Trivino (5-7), quien comenzó el noveno en la lomita luego de que el manager de los Atléticos, Bob Melvin, dijo que seguiría como cerrador pese a haber desperdiciado salvamentos consecutivos luego de sumar 14 seguidos.
