Kolten Wong consiguió tres vuelacercas, la mayor cantidad en su carrera, y totalizó cinco impulsadas para ayudar a que Brandon Woodruff y los Cerveceros de Milwaukee vencieran el jueves 5-1 a los Rojos de Cincinnati.

Wong conectó un leñazo de dos vueltas en el segundo inning ante Hunter Greene (4-13). Aportó otro jonrón de dos anotaciones en el sexto frente a Dauri Moreta y un garrotazo solitario en el octavo contra Joel Kuhnel.

En la campaña, acumula 15 cuadrangulares y 46 impulsadas.

Milwaukee finalizó con apenas cuatro hits, pero cada uno de los primeros dos vuelacercas de Wong se presentó después de boletos en el primer turno del inning.

Los Cerveceros (80-70) intentan alcanzar a Filadelfia y San Diego en la lucha por uno de los últimos dos pasajes de comodín a los playoffs en la Liga Nacional.

Woodruff (12-4) recetó 11 ponches en seis entradas, durante las que toleró tres hits y obsequió un par de boletos.
