Stephen Curry firmó 33 puntos, Otto Porter Jr. anotó siete de 19 en un lapso clave cerca del final y los Warriors de Golden State desplazaron a Phoenix de la cima de la NBA, al imponerse el sábado 116-107 sobre los propios Suns en un encuentro navideño.

Golden State llegó al desierto con un equipo diezmado y sin tres de sus cuatro máximos anotadores debido a los protocolos de salubridad: Andrew Wiggins, Damion Lee y Jordan Poole.

Curry soportó casi toda la carga, recuperándose de una mala actuación para superar los 20 puntos por primera vez en un duelo de Navidad. Terminó encestando 10 de 27 tiros de campo, incluyendo 5 de 10 triples para ayudar a que los Warriors pusieran fin a la racha de 15 triunfos en casa de Phoenix.

Pero fue Porter el que tomó las riendas al final, mediante un triple con un paso hacia atrás y un par de tiros de distancia en un lapso de 1:02 minutos.

Chris Paul consiguió 21 unidades y ocho asistencias para Phoenix. Deandre Ayton terminó con 18 tantos en la tercera derrota de los Suns en 28 encuentros.
