El novato Miguel Vargas empujó la carrera de la ventaja con un sencillo dentro del cuadro, durante un ataque de cinco carreras en el octavo episodio, y los Dodgers de Los Ángeles remontaron para vencer el martes 6-5 a los Diamondbacks de Arizona en el primer juego de una doble tanda.

Los Dodgers han ganado 44 juegos en los que han remontado la pizarra. Es la mayor cifra de su tipo en la presente temporada de las Grandes Ligas.

Con la mejor foja de la campaña en las mayores, Los Ángeles hilvanó su quinta victoria. Su campocorto Trea Turner se marchó en el quinto inning, tras ser golpeado en el costado por una pelota que rebotó en el casco de un corredor.

Tras dejar varados a 12 corredores en siete innings, durante los que conectaron apenas una carrera en siete imparables, todos los Dodgers desfilaron por la caja de bateo en la octava entrada y remontaron un déficit de 5-1.

Ryan Pepiot (3-0) consiguió la victoria. Chris Martin laboró el noveno episodio para obtener su segundo salvamento.
