El venezolano Miguel Cabrera disparó el 505avo jonrón de su carrera, Tarik Skubal empató su cifra más alta de 11 ponchetes en su trayectoria y los Tigres de Detroit lograron su primera barrida en una serie al derrotar el domingo 5-1 a los Orioles de Baltimore.

Cabrera terminó con dos hits, dos carreras y dos producidas para los Tigres, que suman tres victorias consecutivas.

El venezolano Harold Castro aportó tres imparables, una anotada y dos remolcadas.

Skubal (3-2) trabajó seis entradas, concedió a Baltimore tres indiscutibles y dos bases por bolas.

Trey Mancini impidió con su jonrón conectado al dominicano Rony García en la novena, que los Orioles fueran blanqueados en forma consecutiva.

El abridor de Baltimore, Tyler Wells (1-3), permitió tres carreras y ocho hits en poco más de cuatro entradas.

Cabrera puso a Detroit en ventaja de 1-0 en el segundo episodio cuando con cuenta de 0-1 conectó la bola rápida de Wells enviándola por arriba del muro entre los jardines izquierdo y central. Castro produjo una más con un sencillo.

Por los Tigres, los puertorriqueños Javier Báez de 4-1, una anotada, y Willi Castro de 2-1. Los venezolanos Miguel Cabrera de 3-2, dos anotadas, dos producidas, y Víctor Reyes de 1-1.

Por los Orioles, el mexicano Ramón Urías de 3-1. Los venezolanos Anthony Santander de 4-0 y Robinson Chirinos de 3-0. El dominicano Jorge Mateo de 1-0.
