Harold Castro conectó su primer jonrón de la campaña cuando iban dos outs en la novena entrada que rompió el empate para que los Tigres de Detroit derrotaran el lunes 3-2 a los Rays de Tampa Bay.

Con el triunfo, los Tigres acumulan cuatro victorias consecutivas, su mejor racha en la temporada.

El colombiano sacudió su cuadrangular a Andrew Kittredge (3-1), su primero desde los que consiguió en encuentros consecutivos contra Oakland a principios de septiembre del año pasado. Disparó cuadrangulares en 2021.

Michael Fulmer (2-2) se llevó el triunfo en el relevo y el dominicano Gregory Soto trabajó la novena entrada para su sexto salvamento en seis oportunidades.

Jonathan Schoop disparó un bambinazo de dos carreras que había abierto el camino al novato de los Tigres, Alex Faedo, para que se alzara con su primer triunfo en Grandes Ligas, pero Brett Phillips les anuló la ventaja de 2-0 con un cuadrangular en el sexto inning y un doble como primero en el turno de bateo contra Fulmer en el octavo episodio.
