Rowdy Tellez sacudió dos cuadrangulares y el jardinero central de Milwaukee Jonathan Davis realizó un espectacular engarce para encaminar a los Cerveceros a un triunfo el miércoles 5-3 sobre los Rays de Tampa Bay.

Tellez tiene cinco cuadrangulares y ocho carreras impulsadas en sus últimos seis partidos.

Tellez sonó su 15to vuelacercas de la campaña, un tablazo solitario para quebrar el empate en el octavo inning ante el relevista Calvin Faucher (1-2).

Su primer jonrón del encuentro vino en el segundo episodio ante el abridor Jalen Beeks.

Davis le robó un extrabase al cubano Randy Arozarena en la segunda entrada cuando se lanzó para quedarse con la esférica por encima del hombro antes de golpearse la cabeza contra la barda. Permaneció tendido varios minutos sujetándose la espalda y dejó el encuentro en la parte baja del tercer capítulo.

Taylor Walls pegó un doblete de dos carreras en el cuarto inning que envió al plato a Arozarena y Harold Ramírez para poner a los Rays al frente 2-1.

Brad Boxberger (2-1) ponchó a dos enemigos para colgar el cero en la séptima entrada y quedarse con la victoria.

Por los Cerveceros, el mexicano Luis Urías de 4-1 con dos impulsadas y una anotada. El dominicano Willy Adames de 5-0. El puertorriqueño Víctor Caratini de 3-0.

Por los Rays, los dominicanos Francisco Mejía de 4-2; Wander Franco de 5-1 con una impulsada; Vidal Bruján de 2-0 con una anotada. El colombiano Harold Ramírez de 4-2 con una anotada. Los cubanos Arozarena de 2-0 con una anotada; Yandy Díaz de 4-1. El mexicano Isaac Paredes de 2-0.
