Raimel Tapia bateó un grand slam dentro del parque luego de un error del jardinero central de Boston Jarren Duran y los Azulejos de Toronto batieron el viernes el récord de carreras de la franquicia en único juego al arrollar 28-5 a los Medias Rojas.

Toronto se quedó a dos anotaciones del récord moderno de anotaciones en un mismo juego en las Grandes Ligas tras varar a dos en el noveno episodio con el infielder de Boston Yolmer Sánchez en la lomita.

Cada titular de Toronto conectó al menos dos hits y Lourdes Gurriel Jr. igualó la mejor marca de la franquicia, en manos de Frank Catalanotto, con seis.

Los Medias Rojas batieron también su récord de carreras encajadas, eclipsando la marca anterior de 27-3 ante Cleveland en 1923.

Kevin Gausman (7-7) concedió siete hits y tres anotaciones en más de cinco innings para su séptima victoria del año.

El abridor de Boston, Nathan Eovaldi (4-3), duró apenas dos entradas y dos tercios en el montículo y permitió ocho hits y nueve carreras.
