Springs y Rays frenan a Mellizos con blanqueada de 6-0

Jeffrey Springs lanzó pelota de dos imparables hasta la sexta entrada, el cubano Randy Arozarena se robó dos bases después de ser golpeado dos veces por lanzamientos y los Rays de Tampa Bay blanquearon 6-0 a los Mellizos de Minnesota el domingo.

Springs (3-2) continuó con su impresionante transición a la rotación de abridores. Ponchó a cinco y dio dos pasaportes en cinco entradas y un tercio en contra de un equipo de Minnesota que había anotado 15 carreras al ganar los primeros dos juegos de la serie.

Arozarena recibió par de pelotazos y estaba visiblemente molesto con el abridor de los Mellizos, Cole Sands. Entonces se robó dos bases y aportó un doblete productor.

Kevin Kiermaier conectó un cuadrangular solitario.

Sands (0-3) batalló de nuevo, aceptando cinco carreras en cuatro entradas y dos tercios. Permitió 13 carreras limpias en 12 innings y un tercio en las primeras tres aperturas de su carrera.

Por los Rays los cubanos Arozarena de 3-1 con dos carreras anotadas y una producida y Yandy Díaz de 5-0. Los dominicanos Vidal Brujan de 4-1 con una producida, Manuel Margot de 5-1 con una anotada y Francisco Mejía de 4-0.

Por los Mellizos los boricuas Carlos Correa de 3-2 y José Miranda de 4-1; los dominicanos Jorge Polanco de 2-0 y Gilberto Celestino de 2-0; el venezolano Luis Arráez de 4-0 y el colombiano Gio Urshela de 4-0.
