Spike Lee dirigirá una serie documental sobre Colin Kaepernick para ESPN, en la que se mostrarán extensas entrevistas con el exquarterback de los 49ers de San Francisco y elementos del archivo personal del jugador

Spike Lee dirigirá una serie documental sobre Colin Kaepernick para ESPN en la que se mostrarán extensas entrevistas con el exquarterback de los 49ers de San Francisco y elementos de su archivo personal.

ESPN Films anunció el martes que Lee utilizará imágenes nunca antes vistas del archivo de Kaepernick para brindar “un recuento detallado y en primera persona de su travesía”.

Kaepernick jugó a nivel profesional por última vez en 2016, el mismo año en que comenzó a arrodillarse durante la interpretación del himno nacional de Estados Unidos como forma de protesta contra la injusticia racial. A pesar de que la NFL ha alentado a los equipos a que consideren una oportunidad para Kaepernick, sigue sin recibir una nueva oferta.

La cadena no dio a conocer el nombre o la fecha de estreno de la serie documental.

Lee dirigió la cinta “Kobe Doin' Work” de 2009 sobre el legendario jugador de los Lakers, Kobe Bryant Esa película se adentró en la ética de trabajo de Bryant y en sus hazañas en el baloncesto a lo largo de un solo partido ante los Spurs de San Antonio.
