El venezolano Orlando Arcia llevó al plato a Matt Olson desde segunda base con un sencillo para romper el empate en el noveno inning, encaminando a los Bravos de Atlanta a un triunfo el lunes 2-1 sobre los Gigantes de San Francisco.

Camilo Doval inició la entrada otorgándole boleto a Olson en cuatro lanzamientos, la primera base por bolas que otorgaron los Gigantes en el encuentro. Dominó a Travis d'Arnaud con un elevado y Marcell Ozuna le siguió con sencillo al izquierdo. El dominicano Doval (2-3) ponchó a Adam Duvall antes de que Arcia pegara su batazo al jardín izquierdo.

En la parte alta de la novena entrada, el cerrador de los Bravos Kenley Jansen (4-0) permitió un sencillo con un imparable al emergente Joc Pederson y avanzó a la antesala en el imparable del mexicano Luis González, quien se colocó en la intermedia en la jugada. Pero Jansen ponchó a Thairo Estrada y al emergente Brandon Crawford para apagar la amenaza.

Los Bravos, campeones de la Serie Mundial, se colocaron 10 juegos por encima de .500 por segunda vez en la temporada. Tienen dos triunfos consecutivos y han ganado 16 de los últimos 18 para mantenerse en el segundo puesto de la División Este de la Liga Nacional, cinco juegos y medio detrás de los Mets.

Por los Bravos, los venezolanos Orlando Arcia de 4-1 con una impulsada; Ronald Acuña Jr. De 4-0. El dominicano Marcell Ozuna de 4-1.

Por los Gigantes, el mexicano Luis González de 4-2 con una anotada. Los venezolanos Thairo Estrada de 4-1; Wilmer Flores de 4-0.
