Corey Seager conectó un jonrón de dos carreras en la octava entrada para ayudar a que los Rangers de Texas se impusieran el jueves 5-3 sobre los Angelinos de Los Ángeles.

Seager encontró una recta del venezolano José Quijada (0-5) y envió la pelota al otro lado del muro del prado izquierdo para llegar a 32 vuelacercas. Extendió así la mejor marca de su carrera, en su primera temporada con Texas.

Quijada subió al montículo en el octavo capítulo y regaló un boleto a su primer adversario, Marcus Semien, antes de recibir el cuadrangular de Seager.

Matt Moore (5-2) sacó tres outs para llevarse el triunfo y el dominicano José Leclerc resolvió la novena entrada, con lo cual se acreditó su séptimo rescate en ocho intentos.

El astro japonés de los Angelinos, Shohei Ohtani, fue excluido de la alineación de inicio, pero ingresó como bateador emergente cuando había un out de la novena entrada. Pegó un doble, antes de que el venezolano Luis Rengifo y Mike Trout se poncharan tirándole a la bola.

Por los Angelinos, los venezolanos Rengifo de 5-2 con una anotada, Liván Soto de 1-0. El dominicano Magneuris Sierra de 3-0 con una anotada.

Por los Rangers, el cubano Adolis García de 4-1 con una empujada. El dominicano Leody Taveras de 2-0 con una anotada.
