Carlos Santana quebró una racha en que se había ido de 17-0 con el bate al conectar un jonrón de dos carreras que significó la ventaja, y los Marineros de Seattle anotaron tres veces en el séptimo capítulo para superar el miércoles 4-3 a los alicaídos Yanquis de Nueva York.

Aaron Judge logró su 45to jonrón de la campaña, con lo que lidera las mayores. Sin embargo, los Yanquis han perdido ocho de 10 juegos.

Gracias a dos victorias tensas por una carrera de diferencia, Seattle se llevó dos de tres juegos de la serie en Nueva York por segunda semana consecutiva. Ganó por 4-2 la serie de la campaña.

Los Marineros ganaron 1-0 en 13 innings el martes. Los Yanquis lideran la División Este de la Liga Americana, mientras que Seattle es primero en la disputa por los boletos de comodín a los playoffs.

Así, ambos conjuntos podrían chocar de nuevo en la postemporada.

El cuadrangular de Judge llegó ante Penn Murfee (3-0) para poner la pizarra 3-1 en la séptima entrada. Paul Sewald resolvió la novena para su 15to salvamento.

La derrota fue para el dominicano Albert Abreu (2-2).
