Jonathan Heasley permitió un imparable en siete entradas, el venezolano Salvador Pérez y MJ Melendez sacudieron jonrones además de producir tres carreras cada uno y los Reales de Kansas City lograron su tercera victoria consecutiva al arrollar el viernes 8-1 a los Orioles de Baltimore.

Michael A. Taylor también disparó un cuadrangular para la causa de Kansas City, que consiguió su cifra más alta de la campaña, de ocho extrabases, la mayor cantidad que logra en un partido desde el que disputó contra Texas el 2 de abril de 2021.

Heasley (1-3) efectuó la apertura más larga de su joven carrera. Permitió solo un corredor en base y ponchó a siete. Se convirtió en el quinto jugador de los Reales y el primero desde 1994 que trabaja siete entradas y permite un hit o menos sin conceder bases por bolas.

La actuación de Heasley contrastó con la de Bruce Zimmermann (2-5), que otorgó la cifra más alta de su trayectoria de siete carreras limpias y 10 indiscutibles, además de ponchar a dos, en cuatro entradas dos tercios
