Brad Miller conectó un sencillo rodado productor al cuadro para romper un empate en la pizarra en el octavo inning y los Rangers de Texas encadenaron el lunes su tercera victoria al hilo al superar 5-3 a los líderes de la División Oeste de la Liga Americana, los Astros de Houston.

Jonah Heim recibió al relevista dominicano Héctor Neris (1-3) con un sencillo que abrió un octavo episodio con tres anotaciones antes de que el corredor emergente Charlie Culberson robase la segunda base y avanzase en una roleta. Ezequiel Durán lo impulsó al plato con un sencillo y, tras robar su primera base en la MLB, el novato llegó a tercera en un wild pitch antes del hit de Miller.

Brock Burke (4-1), el segundo de los relevistas de Texas, lanzó dos entradas en blanco para anotarse el triunfo y Matt Moore trabajó una novena perfecta para su primera salvamento del curso.
