José Ramirez acabó con la igualdad mediante un cuadrangular de dos carreras en la quinta entrada, Shane Bieber repartió ocho ponches en siete innings, y los Guardianes de Cleveland vencieron el viernes 4-1 a los Rays de Tampa Bay.

El 21er jonrón de Ramírez, frente a Jeffrey Springs (3-3) dio a los Guardianes una ventaja de 3-1. El dominicano agregó un sencillo productor cuando había dos outs del octavo capítulo, luego del tercer sencillo de Steven Kwan.

Bieber (5-6) tiene una foja de apenas 2-3 en nueve aperturas desde el 3 de junio. Necesitó de 26 lanzamientos en el primer inning, cuando Ji-Man Choi conectó un sencillo productor.

Los Rays dejaron las bases llenas cuando Christian Bethancourt se ponchó.

El dominicano Emmanuel Clase resolvió el noveno episodio para su 22do salvamento en 24 oportunidades. Obligó a que el panameño Bethancourt bateara una roleta para una doble matanza que puso fin al duelo.

Los Guardianes ganaron por tercera vez en cuatro compromisos.
