El presidente de Rusia, Vladimir Putin, criticó el martes lo que describió como los esfuerzos de Estados Unidos por mantener su dominio global y dijo que estaban condenados al fracaso.

Al recibir las credenciales de embajadores extranjeros en Moscú, Putin señaló que “el desarrollo objetivo hacia un mundo multipolar enfrenta la resistencia de quienes tratan de preservar su hegemonía en los asuntos globales y de controlarlo todo: Latinoamérica, Europa, Asia y África”.

“La hegemonía lo ha conseguido durante mucho tiempo, pero no puede mantenerse para siempre... independientemente de lo que ocurra en Ucrania”, agregó.

Putin ha presentado repetidamente su decisión de enviar tropas a Ucrania como una respuesta a la supuesta invasión occidental de sus intereses vitales de seguridad.

El mandatario ruso describió las sanciones occidentales contra Moscú por sus acciones en el país vecino como parte de los esfuerzos de Estados Unidos y sus aliados para reforzar sus posiciones, pero alegó que se han vuelto en su contra y afectaron a los países pobres.
