Norman Powell anotó 24 puntos después de dos meses fuera de la cancha, Paul George sumó 19 puntos en tres cuartos para superar los 15.000 en su carrera y los Clippers de Los Ángeles se impusieron el miércoles 113-109 a los Suns de Phoenix, líderes de la NBA.

En un partido en el que nadie se jugaba nada, Phoenix dio descanso a Devin Booker, Chris Paul, Deandre Ayton y Jae Crowder en su segundo partido en dos días. Los Suns ya batieron un récord de victorias de la franquicia en una temporada con 63 triunfos cuando eliminaron el martes a los Lakers del play-in.

Los Clippers arrollaron a los Suns durante tres cuartos y llegaron al tercero 39 puntos arriba. Pero los reservas de Phoenix anotaron 48 puntos en el último hasta que se quedaron sin tiempo.

Ish Wainwright batió su marca personal con 20 puntos para liderar a Phoenix. Aaron Holiday añadió 16 puntos y Bismack Biyombo sumó 14 puntos y 12 rebotes. El único titular con dobles dígitos fue Payne con 13 puntos. La banca de los Suns superó a los reservas de los Clippers 66-58.
