Dean Kremer lanzó de manera impresionante hasta la séptima entrada y Félix Bautista capoteó los problemas en la novena para que los Orioles de Baltimore superaran el viernes 1-0 a los Piratas de Pittsburgh.

El mexicano Ramón Urías remolcó con un sencillo la única carrera del encuentro, en el sexto episodio, después de que los Orioles dilapidaron varias oportunidades. Ello bastó para que Baltimore siguiera ascendiendo como un sorpresivo candidato a la postemporada.

Kremer (4-3) aceptó cuatro hits y recetó un par de ponches. Escapó de un atolladero con hombres en primera y tercera y con un out en la segunda entrada, cunado Cal Mitchell pegó un rodado para doble matanza. En los siguientes cuatro capítulos, Kremer no permitió que un solo rival se embasara.

Después de que Ke'Bryan Hayes bateó un doble en el séptimo inning, Kremer cedió la labor al bullpen. El cubano Cionel Pérez sacó cinco outs y el dominicano Bautista dio trámite a la novena entrada para su cuarto salvamento.

Bautista permitió un sencillo de Ben Gamel y entregó un boleto a Hayes, antes de poner fin al compromiso.

Mitch Keller (3-8) cargó con la derrota al permitir la única carrera y ocho hits.
