Musgrove lanza a Padres sobre Piratas 5-2

Joe Musgrove ponchó a ocho en una sólida labor de siete entradas y los Padres de San Diego derrotaron 5-2 a los Piratas de Pittsburgh el domingo.

Fue el segundo partido de Musgrove con los Padres en PNC Park desde que fue cambiado de Pittsburgh a San Diego tras la temporada 2020. Lanzó tres años para los Piratas.

Musgrove (4-0) se vio cómodo en su viejo montículo, espaciando siete imparables, mientras que solamente aceptó una carrera.

Manny Machado produjo una carrera con un sencillo en la tercera en contra de Mitch Keller (0-4) para colocar a los Padres con ventaja en la pizarra. Fue su 16ta carrera producida de la temporada, con que lidera al equipo.

Trent Grisham pegó un sencillo productor de dos carreras después que el campocorto Cole Tucker cometiera un error en un intento de doble matanza en la séptima entrada.

El boricua Roberto Pérez impulsó una carrera con un sencillo en el séptimo inning y Pittsburgh llenó la casa bases sin outs en la octava, pero solo consiguió un elevado de sacrificio de Michael Chavis.

Por los Padres, el venezolano Jorge Azocar de 1-1 con una carrera anotada.

Por los Piratas, el puertorriqueño Roberto Pérez, de 4-1 con una producida y el venezolano Diego Castillo de 1-0.
