México presenta a Rusia su plan de mediación

El secretario de Relaciones Exteriores de México Marcelo Ebrard dice que se reunió con su homólogo ruso Sergey Lavrov para presentarle un plan de mediación que tiene como objetivo acabar con la guerra en Ucrania

Tras hablar con su homólogo ucraniano el jueves, el secretario de Relaciones Exteriores de México Marcelo Ebrard dijo el viernes que se reunió con el canciller ruso Sergey Lavrov para presentarle un plan de mediación que tiene como objetivo acabar con la guerra en Ucrania.

“Sostuve cordial conversación con Sergei Lavrov,” tuiteó Ebrard. “Le compartí propuesta del presidente Manuel López Obrador en favor de la paz así como nuestras ideas sobre el futuro del Consejo de Seguridad".

El jueves por la mañana Ebrard presentó el plan formalmente ante el Consejo de Seguridad: consiste en que ese organismo, la India y el Vaticano encabecen una negociación en busca de una tregua entre Rusia y Ucrania.

Ebrard dijo que ante la “parálisis” del Consejo de Seguridad ante la guerra, el presidente López Obrador propuso que una comitiva o “caucus” de jefes de estado fortalezca el papel de mediación que tiene el secretario general de la ONU Antonio Guterres.

Ebrard se reunió el jueves con su homólogo ucraniano Dmytro Kuleba para hablar sobre el plan.

El canciller mexicano también habló del plan en su discurso ante la Asamblea General de la ONU el jueves por la noche.
