Los Medias Rojas de Boston barren su tercera serie de la temporada tras vencer por 6-2 a los Tigres de Detroit

Rob Refsnyder conectó un jonrón de dos carreras en la tercera entrada y los Medias Rojas de Boston barrieron su tercera serie en la campaña, al vencer por 6-2 el miércoles a los Tigres de Detroit.

Jarren Duran y el mexicano Alex Verdugo añadieron dobles de dos carreras cada uno por Boston, que ganó el octavo de 10 encuentros. Michael Wacha (6-1) lanzó seis entradas, permitiendo dos carreras y cinco hits con siete ponches para ayudar a que los Medias Rojas mejoraran a ocho juegos arriba de .500, su mejor foja de la campaña.

El boricua Javier Báez bateó un jonrón de dos carreras por los Tigres, que han perdido nueve de 11 juegos.

Tarik Skubal (5-5) laboró 4 2/3 entradas, permitiendo seis carreras en seis hits, con tres boletos y cinco ponches. Ha perdido sus últimas tres aperturas.

Báez le dio la ventaja a los Tigres en la primera, conectando una recta de Wacha que envió a los asientos sobre el “Monstruo Verde”. Se trató de su sexto cuadrangular de la temporada y extendió su racha de hits a siete duelos, una noche después de quedó a un doble de completar el ciclo.

Por los Tigres, el boricua Báez de 3-2 con una anotada y dos remolcadas. Los venezolanos Víctor Reyes de 4-0, Miguel Cabrera de 4-1 y Harold Castro de 4-0.

Por los Medias Rojas, el puertorriqueño Christian Vázquez de 4-2 con una anotada. El mexicano Verdugo de 4-1 con dos impulsadas.
