Lance McCullers Jr. volvió a impresionar en su regreso tras una lesión en el flexor del antebrazo y lanzó hasta el sexto inning, y los Astros de Houston se impusieron el viernes 4-2 a los Angelinos de Los Ángeles.

En su cuarta apertura de la temporada, McCullers (2-1) se anotó el triunfo tras ceder dos carreras en seis hits en cinco episodios y dos tercios, en los que repartió cuatro pases por bolas y abanicó a siete.

Jeremy Peña bateó un doble remolcador para los Astros, que sumaron su octavo triunfo en 10 juegos. Houston mantiene una ventaja de 11 juegos sobre los Marineros de Seattle en la División Oeste de la Liga Americana.

Reid Detmers (5-5) cargó con la derrota luego de admitir cuatro anotaciones y siete hits en cuatro entradas y un tercio de labor.

El dominicano Rafael Montero, que lanzó la novena para su 11mo salvamento del año, cerró el juego ponchando a Shohei Ohtani.

Por los Astros, el venezolano José Altuve de 4-1, con dos anotadas. Los dominicanos Jeremy Peña de 5-2, con una remolcada; Yainer Díaz de 3-0, con una producida. El cubano Yulieski Gurriel de 3-1. El puertorriqueño Martín Maldonado de 4-0.

Por los Angelinos, el venezolano Luis Rengifo de 3-0.
