Marlins vencen a Mets gracias a Cooper y de la Cruz

Garrett Cooper sacudió un jonrón de dos careras que estrelló la pelota contra el poste de foul del jardín derecho, mientras que Bryan de la Cruz aportó tres dobletes el viernes al triunfo de los Marlins de Miami por 5-2 sobre los Mets de Nueva York.

El venezolano Pablo López (6-4) toleró una carrera y cuatro hits en cinco entradas por los Marlins, que consiguieron su séptimo triunfo en nueve compromisos.

Miami había perdido dos duelos en fila luego de hilvanar seis triunfos.

Dylan Floro, Anthony Bss y Tanner Scott resolvieron un inning en blanco por cabeza. Scott se acreditó su undécimo salvamento en 13 oportunidades, al finalizar una labor de cinco hits.

Chris Bassitt (6-6), quien salió de la lista de COVID-19, abrió por primera vez desde el 25 de junio, cuando ganó en Miami. Esta vez permitió dos carreras y seis imparables en seis episodios y un tercio.

El venezolano Jesús Aguilar abrió el segundo acto con un hit dentro del cuadro. Avanzó cuando su compatriota Avisaíl García pegó un sencillo y anotó con un doble de De la Cruz por encima de la cabeza del guardabosque izquierdo Mark Canha.
