Eugenio Suárez despachó un jonrón de tres carreras, Chris Flexen lanzó seis sólidos innings para ganar su cuarta apertura consecutiva y los Marineros de Seattle estiraron a nueve su racha de triunfos al derrotar el miércoles 6-4 a los Nacionales de Washington en el primer duelo de una doble cartelera.

Jesse Winker, Adam Frazier y Cal Raleigh sacudieron jonrones solitarios para Seattle, que no encadenaba nueve victorias desde 2003 (del 27 de mayo al 5 de junio). Los Marineros han ganado 17 de 20 por primera vez desde el 2-23 de abril de 2002.

El venezolano Suárez la desapareció en el primer episodio para su 16to jonrón del año.
