Madrid en alerta previo a visitas de Chelsea y Man City

Las autoridades de Madrid han reforzado las medidas de seguridad en la capital española con miras a la visita de miles de aficionados ingleses para dos partidos de la Liga de Campeones esta semana

Las autoridades de Madrid han reforzado las medidas de seguridad en la capital española con miras a la visita de miles de aficionados ingleses para dos partidos de la Liga de Campeones esta semana.

Los choques entre el Real Madrid y el Chelsea el martes y el del Atlético de Madrid y el Manchester City el miércoles fueron declarados como de “alto riesgo" por las autoridades locales.

Se decidió movilizar más agentes de seguridad en las principales plazas de Madrid donde los grupos de aficionados visitantes suelen congregarse previo a los partidos.

También se tendrá vigilancia extra en las estaciones del metro y en el aeropuerto de Madrid, donde los seguidores del Chelsea y el City podrían coincidir.

Algunos incidentes se produjeron el mes pasado en la ciudad sureña de Sevilla cuando hinchas de Alemania e Inglaterra llegaron para partidos de la Europa League.

Madrid fue la sede de la final de la Liga de Campeones de 2019 entre los conjuntos ingleses Liverpool y Tottenham.

En los partidos de ida, el Madrid venció 3-1 al Chelsea en Londres y el City doblegó 3-1 al Atlético en Manchester.
