Adam Duvall y el venezolano William Contreras aportaron cuadrangulares para ayudar a Charlie Morton a ganar por primera vez en cinco aperturas en un juego en que lucieron los bates de los Bravos de Atlanta al superar 9-2 a los Cerveceros de Milwaukee el domingo.

Matt Olson pegó un doblete productor de dos carreras durante una segunda entrada de cuatro anotaciones. Duvall se la voló al abridor Aaron Ashby en la tercera y Contreras añadió un bambinazo de tres carreras en la quinta en contra de Jandel Gustave para ampliar la delantera.

Los Bravos no habían ganado en las últimas cuatro aperturas de Morton (2-3), una racha que incluyó una efectividad de 7.85. Pero el derecho de 38 años tuvo labor de tres bases por bolas y aceptó dos hits con cinco ponches en cinco entradas en blanco.

Los campeones defensores de la Serie Mundial ganaron apenas su segunda serie de la temporada en nueve intentos, para mejorar su récord a 14-16. Los Cerveceros han perdido dos al hilo, pero todavía lideran la División Central de la Liga Nacional con marca de 19-10.
