Lluvias torrenciales en Alemania dejan choques, inundaciones

Las tormentas eléctricas que azotaron Alemania el lunes en la noche dejaron intensas lluvias en partes del sur y el oeste del país, y causaron docenas de accidentes de tránsito y cientos de salidas de los bomberos durante la noche.

En Baviera, algunas localidades quedaron inundadas, incluyendo Moemlingen, cerca de Fráncfort, donde las calles quedaron completamente cubiertas de agua y lodo y en muchos sótanos los bomberos tuvieron que bombear el agua, reportó el martes la agencia noticiosa alemana dpa.

En Stuttgart, en viento arrancó partes del tejado y derribó varias estatuas de la Ópera de la ciudad .

En total, los servicios de rescate recibieron más de 330 llamadas entre el lunes y la madrugada del martes en Stuttgart, y el servicio de trenes estuvo parado durante horas. Los bomberos tuvieron que cortar y retirar los árboles caídos.

Los estados de Baden-Wuerttemberg — donde está Stuttgart — Baviera y Hesse se vieron especialmente afectados por las lluvias torrenciales y reportaron docenas de accidentes de tránsito. Por el momento se desconocía cuántas personas resultaron heridas en los siniestros.
