Aaron Judge conectó su 60mo jonrón y Giancarlo Stanton le siguió un instante después con un grand slam para terminar el encuentro y completar la sorprendente novena entrada de cinco carreras de los Yanquis de Nueva York, que remontaron y vencieron por 9-8 el martes a los Piratas de Pittsburgh.

Judge se colocó a un cuadrangular del récord de la Liga Americana en una campaña, establecido Roger Maris. Encontró un sinker del derecho Will Crowe (5-10) y envió su disparo a 430 pies del plato.

La pelota aterrizó en el graderío en el jardín izquierdo, con lo que Nueva York se acercó 8-5.

Judge empató los 60 jonrones que Babe Ruth consiguió con los Yanquis en 1927 para establecer un récord de las Grandes Ligas que se mantuvo vigente por 37 años.

Curiosamente, el hermano del bisabuelo de Crowe fue Red Ruffing, miembro del Salón de la Fama y compañero de Babe Ruth con los Yanquis en la década de 1930.

Stanton conectó un grand slam frente a Crowe para darle la victoria a Aroldis Chapman (3-3) y detonar la celebración en Yankee Stadium.
