Jonrón de Toro da triunfo a Marineros ante Tigres

Abraham Toro bateó un jonrón de dos carreras que significó la ventaja en la séptima entrada, y los Marineros de Seattle se impusieron el miércoles 5-3 sobre los Tigres de Detroit para lograr su quinto triunfo en seis duelos.

El venezolano Toro, convocado el martes desde la sucursal de la Triple A en Tacoma, totalizó dos hits. Su compatriota Eugenio Suárez aportó también un cuadrangular de dos carreras a la causa de los Marineros.

El abridor Marco Gonzales (10-12) toleró tres carreras y siete hits en seis innings para apuntarse el triunfo. Paul Sewald entregó un par de boletos en el noveno inning pero consiguió su 17mo salvamento.

El dominicano Jeimer Candelario remolcó dos carreras por los Tigres., cuyo abridor Tyler Alexander recibió dos anotaciones en cuatro innings y un tercio.

La derrota fue a la foja de Alex Lange (4-4).

Por los Marineros, los dominicanos Julio Rodríguez de 4-1 con una anotada, Carlos Santana de 4-0. Los venezolanos Suárez de 4-2 con una anotada y dos impulsadas, Toro de 3-2 con una anotada y dos producidas.

Por los Tigres, los venezolanos Víctor Reyes de 4-1, Miguel Cabrera de 4-0, Harold Castro de 4-0. Los boricuas Javier Báez de 5-1, Willi Castro de 3-0 con una remolcada. El dominicano Candelario de 4-2.
