Tyler Nevin sacudió un jonrón de tres carreras, Cedric Mullins y Austin Hays añadieron una remolcada por cabeza y los Orioles de Baltimore se impusieron el sábado 6-4 sobre los Reales de Kansas City.

Nevin bateó apenas su segundo cuadrangular de la temporada, depositando la pelota a 425 pies del plato, en el graderío del jardín central, para dar a Baltimore una ventaja de 4-3 en la sexta entrada.

El garrotazo empujó a Ryan Mountcastle y a Adley Rutschman, el prospecto principal de los Orioles, quien lució además su velocidad en el octavo capítulo, cuando anotó gracias a un lanzamiento descontrolado para ampliar la diferencia.

Daniel Lynch (2-6) aceptó cuatro carreras limpias en cinco entradas y un tercio. Admitió ocho hits, dio un boleto e igualó la mejor marca en su vida con siete ponches.

Tyler Wells (3-4) laboró seis entradas, en las que toleró tres carreras y cinco hits. Entregó un par de boletos y ponchó a cuatro adversarios.

Cumplió con la primera apertura de calidad por parte de un pitcher de Baltimore en 10 juegos.

Salvador Pérez siguió encendido con el madero, al batear un doble productor en el primer inning. El cátcher venezolano de los Reales, cuatro veces ganador del Bate de Plata, ostenta un promedio de .400 con tres jonrones y 13 impulsadas en sus últimos ocho juegos.

Por los Orioles, el venezolano Robinson Chirinos de 3-1. El dominicano Jorge Mateo de 3-0 con una anotada.

Por los Reales, el venezolano Pérez de 3-2 con una anotada y una producida. El puertorriqueño Emmanuel Rivera de 3-1 con una remolcada.
