El asesor de seguridad nacional de la Casa Blanca, Jake Sullivan, dio positivo en COVID-19 el sábado, informó la Casa Blanca.

Sullivan suele tener contacto frecuente con Joe Biden, pero la última vez que estuvo en contacto con el presidente fue a principios de semana, según un alto funcionario del gobierno que habló a condición de mantener el anonimato. Sullivan se había mantenido alejado de Biden luego que “un par” de personas con que había estado en contacto cercano dieron positivo en el virus, dijo el funcionario.

Adrienne Watson, portavoz del Consejo de Seguridad Nacional, dijo que Sullivan “es asintomático y no ha estado en contacto cercano con el presidente”.

La Casa Blanca confirmó el jueves que Biden había dado negativo ese día. Funcionarios de la Casa Blanca no respondieron de momento a una solicitud de comentarios sobre si Biden ha sido evaluado más recientemente.
