La reina Isabel II de Inglaterra sufre una lesión muscular en la espalda y no asistirá al servicio religioso del Domingo del Recuerdo en el centro de Londres para recordar a los británicos caídos en combate, según indicó el domingo el Palacio de Buckingham

La monarca está “decepcionada” de perderse la cita, indicaron las autoridades. Se esperaba que el servicio fuera la primera aparición pública de la reina, de 95 años, tras la cancelación de varios actos oficiales en las últimas semanas por recomendación médica.

La reina pasó una noche en un hospital de Londres el mes pasado al que había acudido para hacerse pruebas. El palacio indicó el 29 de octubre que se le había recomendado descansar durante dos semanas. La jefa de Estado canceló sus planes de asistir a la cumbre climática de Naciones Unidas en Glasgow Escocia pero envió un mensaje en video.
