Shane Bieber lanzó siete entradas en forma dominante, el dominicano Óscar González empujó dos carreras y los Guardianes de Cleveland vencieron el martes por 5-2 a los Tigres de Detroit para hilar su tercera victoria.

Bieber (7-6) permitió sólo cuatro sencillos y un boleto, ponchando a ocho. El dominicano Amed Rosario sumó tres hits, incluyendo dos dobles, con una carrera anotada y una impulsada.

Cleveland inició el día detrás del líder Minnesota por un juego en la División Central de la Liga Americana.

Tyler Alexander (2-6) permitió dos carreras y siete hits en siete episodios con Detroit. Los Tigres evitaron apenas perder por blanqueada por segundo encuentro consecutivo.

Eric Haase consiguió un boleto con dos outs y las bases llenas frente a Eli Morgan en la novena. Agregó otra carrera con un wild pitch del dominicano Emmanuel Clase

Clase consiguió su 25to salvamento con un roletazo de Akil Baddoo.

Por los Guardianes, los dominicanos Amed Rosario de 4-3 con una anotada y una remolcada, José Ramírez de 4-1, Óscar González de 4-2 con una anotada y dos empujadas. El venezolano Andrés Giménez de 4-2.

Por los Tigres, los puertorriqueños Javier Báez de 4-0, Harold Castro de 4-1 con una anotada y Willi Castro de 4-1. Los venezolanos Miguel Cabrera de 3-1, Víctor Reyes de 1-1 con una anotada.
