Roger Federer y Rafael Nadal formarán pareja de dobles el viernes en la Copa Laver, que el suizo anunció que será el último partido de su larga e ilustre carrera deportiva.

Federer, que atesora 20 títulos de Grand Slam, y quien durante muchos años fuera su rival, Nadal, que ostenta el récord de mayors del tenis masculino con 22, representarán al Equipo Europa. Sus rivales por el Equipo Mundo serán el semifinalista del Abierto de Estados Unidos Frances Tiafoe y Jack Sock.

El programa del primer día del torneo, que está organizado por una empresa del as suizo, se anunció el jueves.

En la competencia individual, el argentino Diego Schwartzman se verá las caras con el finalista de Roland Garros en 2021, Stefanos Tsitsipas, y Casper Ruud, con dos subcampeonatos de Grand Slam, se medirá a Sock durante la sesión diurna. Por la noche, el duelo entre Andy Murray y Alex de Minaur precederá al partido de Federer y Nadal.
