Dodgers logran otra remontada y vencen a Marlins

Will Smith bateó un rodado para una jugada de selección en la que Mookie Betts anotó la carrera de la ventaja en el octavo inning, y los Dodgers de Los Ángeles superaron el viernes 2-1 a los Marlins de Miami.

Los Dodgers lograron su 34ta victoria con remontada incluida. Ningún club ha conseguido más en las Grandes Ligas durante esta campaña.

Betts anotó en una jugada rara en que el cátcher Jacob Stallings abandonó el plato. El antesalista Jon Berti fildeó la roleta de Smith y quiso tirar a home, pero Stallings se había movido a la inicial sin que nadie cubriera home.

El inning comenzó con un triple de Betts. Trea Turner fue retirado con un roletazo y Freddie Freeman recibió el boleto intencional, dejando la mesa servida para Smith.

Una jugada defensiva estelar de Trayce Thompson privó a Nick Fortes de un jonrón que hubiera empatado la pizarra al inicio del noveno capítulo. Saltó para realizar la atrapada y se estrelló contra el muro del bosque central, sin soltar la pelota.

Chris Martin (4-0) se llevó el triunfo con un relevo de un inning. Evan Phillips dio trámite al noveno para conseguir su segundo rescate.

Los Dodgers mejoraron a un registro de 22-6 desde la pausa por el Juego de Estrellas.

Dylan Floro (0-2), exlanzador de los Dodgers, permitió una carrera y un imparable en una entrada de relevo.

Por los Marlins los venezolanos Miguel Rojas de 4-0, Jesús Aguilar de 4-1. El dominicano Jerar Encarnación de 2-1 con una empujada.

Por los Dodgers, el dominicano Hanser Alberto de 3-0.
