Aaron Judge conectó un par de jonrones en direcciones contrarias y elimina a un corredor con un lanzamiento desde el jardín central para que los Yanquis superaran 4-1 el viernes a los Guardianes de Cleveland, que visitaron Bronx por priemra vez con su nuevo nombre.

El relevista Michael King preservó la ventaja de Nueva York: ponchó a ocho en tres entradas después de abanicar a sus últimos siete bateadores.

Judge puso arriba a los Yanquis en la tercera con un cuadrangular sacudido a Eli Morgan (1-1). La pelota salió hacia las gradas en el jardin derecho tras rebasar la nueva pizarra de pantalla que sustituyó a la pizarra manual. Antes, DJ LeMahieu había recibido base por bolas.

Judge agregó un jonrón solitario en la quinta frente a Tanner Tully, el zurdo de 27 años que se estrenó en las Grandes Ligas.

Antes del partido, Judge tenía un solo cuadrangular esta temporada tras poner fin a las conversaciones para firmar un contrato de largo plazo. Se trató del 17mo encuentro en el que Judge consigue dos jonrones.

Por los Guardianes, los dominicanos José Ramírez de 4-0, Franmil Reyes de 4-1 con una anotada y una empujada, Amed Rosario de 4-2. El venezolano Andrés Giménez de 3-1. El colombiano Óscar Mercado de 1-0.

Por los Yanquis, el venezolano Gleyber Torres de 4-1.
