Dylan Cease lanzó con solidez durante seis innings, el dominicano Eloy Jiménez conectó un jonrón solitario que rompió la igualdad y los Medias Blancas de Chicago superaron el viernes 2-1 a los Rangers de Texas.

La primera apertura de Cease (12-4) en agosto se asemejó a las que protagonizó en las últimas ocho semanas. Fue elegido el pitcher de los meses de junio y julio en la Liga Americana.

Cease no ha permitido más de una anotación en un encuentro desde el 9 de junio, cuando recibió seis carreras sucias. No ha tolerado más de una carrera limpia en ninguna de sus últimas 13 aperturas.

Liam Hendriks, el tercer relevista de Chicago lanzó en forma perfecta el noveno capítulo para conseguir su 22do salvamento en 25 oportunidades.

Glenn Otto (4-8) admitió dos carreras y cuatro hits en seis innings, para cargar con la derrota, pese a lograr siete ponches.
